Haaaaa! I LOVE THIS POST!!! Sometimes I feel like the only people who “get” me are fellow travelers. Relative to other travelers, I’m quite low on the ladder, but relative to my circles, I’m a huge travel nut. It’s so great to read about other addicts, I was laughing out loud, nodding, extremely excited to ‘meet’ another person blessed with the travel bug. Every time I think “Ok, I traveled enough, time to settle down.”, it’s only a week or two later that I’m scratching my head wondering what the heck got into me. Sorry to keep blabbing here, not offering anything remotely insightful, only my deep appreciation.

(Really?? I thought I was the only one planning dream trips I know I will never take. Well, actually, “never” has been disproven before…)

sure…I based my occupation on being able to travel constantly…

I definitely have the problem…2 months somewhere, I get really claustrophobic.

Traveling has been my obsession for as long as I can remember. I’m only 17 and I have only been overseas once but I have been saving my money since I got my first job when I was 14 and during school holidays I work full time all so I can travel. I am beyond exited that all my hard work is about to pay off, I have the money to go overseas at the end of the year, in winter next year and the end of next year. I plan on going to Indoasia, Europe and indonesia or hong kong. Then when that’s done I’m going to do uni at home to…… Save more money. For my 21st my parents are buying me a round the world ticket and I plan to go to the Canada, the USA, and south America, Egypt, India and china. The way I’m going I will have been to over 50 contries before I’m 22. Saving money when your young is sooooo worth it. ( ps I’m not dreaming, with my future financial plans I can afford this. Also I’m not rich, I’ve been saving everything since the day I could legally start to work and I have worked 2 jobs since I was 15. Im also studying for uni, I manage to maintain high grades…. My life is work and study but next year, what I’ve been working so hard for, will be reality. I can barely sleep at night knowing it’s gonna be so soon )

Of course when I am planning my next trip (Turkey, Israel: again, Cairo and Morocco) I came across your Blog and WOW. ( i get so excited that I begin to pack almost months in advance. I mean I have wrinkles in my undies when I land they have been packed for so long. I have Brittish Pounds, Israel “schekels”, Eros and Jordanian Dinari. I would follow Anthony Bourdain anywhere. Any book or magazine about travel, I drool over thinking, maybe, just maybe this is my next adventure. And what can I say about the people you meet on the way. Great bunch of humans. And don’t cha just love the “Street Food”? I get this look from people when I tell them “I eat off the streets”. Great Site

A hopeless addict. I do so many of these things, it’s not even funny. Oh my gosh, what is life without travel? Thank you for a fantastic and creative post….! I have seen this concept applied to other topics but this is the best one yet !

I liked the toilet paper one and asking people where they are from. On that note, I PRIDE myself in never, ever having used a squat toilet.

Regarding planning, I’ve never read a guide book and don’t plan anything, not even this trip. I like to travel 1900′s style. I have so much respect for the people who go into the unknown and find it awesome to choose a destination and then find all the cool stuff there.

That said, I have nothing I *need* or want to see. I just like unknown.
