Matt – we really liked the Caribbean coast of Costa Rica also. We were there about 3 yrs ago and during the turtle laying season. We got to see all the little hatchling turtles instinctively crawl down to the shoreline. My favorite place was Puerto Viejo and the Manzanillo National Park. I also liked Cahuita and the national park you mentioned in another post. The howler monkeys in that area make sure you get up early.
