Tortuguero, Costa Rica
Very interesting photo! Too bad that the weather wasn’t shinny
Looks like the perfect location to spend a few relaxing days
I took a very similar photo in Playa Matapalo — it was the day of Christmas Eve, yet the beach (Pacific side btw) had a total of around 15 people on it. Wonderful, wonderful, wonderful country.
I love Costa Rica.
Matt – we really liked the Caribbean coast of Costa Rica also. We were there about 3 yrs ago and during the turtle laying season. We got to see all the little hatchling turtles instinctively crawl down to the shoreline. My favorite place was Puerto Viejo and the Manzanillo National Park. I also liked Cahuita and the national park you mentioned in another post. The howler monkeys in that area make sure you get up early.
Have fun! I’ll have to go back and read your other posts. Hopefully you have had a chance to do the rafting and the zip lines.
Wild, empty beach. Excellent!!!
Way to go Matt – I agree with your assessment all the way! Enjoy the rest of the journey . . .
Costa Rica is wonderful. I’ve spent my honeymoon in there and it was awesome!
