I was in Caye Caulker in 1995 and again in 1998 and 1999, paradise. And recent photos show that it’s hardly changed. No cars, simple living. Beautiful water. Bet they got WiFi now though! You better Belize it!
I just got back about two weeks ago and unfortunately they have about 3 or 4 cars now on the island. I think the garbage company owns one and then the city maintenance owns another and not sure who owns the other ones.
Ahhh, I love Caye Caulker!! We got to visit last summer and I’ve been dreaming of going back ever since. We snorkeled Shark Ray Alley and it was incredible! Beautiful photo
If you’re heading down to Placencia while you’re in Belize, check out Sea Kunga. It’s a hostel/adventure rental/beach restaurant/beach bar about a mile outside of the main town. It tends to be un-crowded and peaceful and it’s super easy to hitch-hike into town when you want to go!
The water looks spectacular…paradise found?

Just got back from there! I SOOOOO desperately want to live in Caye Calker! And I don’t say that about many places I visit.

Well, at least the cars are for maintenance!

We were just there last month! Great seafood and snorkeling.
Did you go to Wish Willys?
I went there on a spur of the moment trip and only planned for 2 days and ended up there for 5. We ate at Wish Willy’s every night!
