I was at pompeii a week ago, i must say the beds in the brothel did not look the comfiest!
Looks like the Romans were a highly libidoed lot throughout the Empire. I found an inscribed tablet at the old Roman ruins of Ephesus in Turkey, highlighting the location of the nearest brothel.

Saw this on an art history field trip. A girl in my class accidentally nudged the elderly teacher beside her and said “Heh, they did it doggy style back then too.” When she looked over and saw that she had just said this to the teacher she about fainted.
