How to Make Money With Your Travel Blog

Make Money Travel BlogI get a lot of questions about search engine optimization and how to make money with a travel blog. I guess I’ve developed a little bit of a reputation as being a travel blogger who is also an internet marketer. Daily e-mails enter my in box about how to do this or how to do that.

Because of all of these questions, I have written an ebook about “How to Make Money with Your Travel Blog.” I make over $3,000 dollars a month from my travel website. That is enough to keep anybody traveling and being a digital nomad for a long time. Even if you don’t want to be a digital nomad, it’s still a nice side income that can help pay for your trip. This ebook has all of my tips, tricks, secrets, and advice on how to build a successful blog, rank high in Google search results, and make money through advertising.

The ebook is split into 6 sections:

  1. Starting a Blog- Basic but necessary information about picking a niche (what are you an expert in?), choosing what kind of travel blog to have (there is more than one), and the number of websites to run.
  2. Installing Your Blog- All about choosing the right website name, picking a Wordpress theme, and installing SEO plugins.
  3. Getting Traffic- How to use sites like Stumble Upon, gain followers, find other bloggers, and use Twitter and Facebook to your advantage to build a community around your blog.
  4. Search Engine Optimization- Detailed information about SEO, how it works, site optimization, link building, and where to find those valuable links to rank high in Google.
  5. Monetizing Your Blog- Covers the main types of advertising, which work best for different sites, how much to charge, and where to find willing advertisers.
  6. Putting it All Together- What to expect from all of this and how to best utilize your time.

The ebook takes you through the whole process of blogging, SEO, and monetizing your website. There is information in the book for beginners as well as those with a little more knowledge.

July 2009 Update- Version 2 includes all the great information above plus more information on how to maximize your traffic from Stumble Upon, more information on where to find travel blogs, and more information on finding advertisers, specifically about banner advertising networks.

November 2009 Update- Version 3 includes all the great information above plus more information on utilize the new Stumble Upon algorithm, more information on how to use Twitter.

January 2010 Update- Version 4 adds information about a new link building network that gets you more contextual links and tips and advice on writing your own ebooks.

The main meat of the ebook is in the SEO and monetization section. Each of these sections are a little bit over ten pages long. In the SEO section, I explain in detail what SEO is and how it works, what to do on your website and what to do off your website. I explain the value and power of links and, most importantly, I show you WHERE TO FIND HIGH QUALITY LINKS so you can rank higher in Google search results.

In the monetization section, I’ll go through each of the main ways to monetize your blog, how to price ads, and how to find and get advertisers to buy space on your website. Everyone wants to sell advertising but few people know where to find it. I help show you.

That’s a lot of stuff packed into this 40 page ebook. All for only $17 USD. There is a lot of information in there and I promise you will get your money’s worth. “I show you WHERE TO FIND HIGH QUALITY LINKS so you can rank higher in Google search results.”

I didn’t even know individual links are ranked until I read this sentence. Go figure.

  2. Wow, 3k a month. I have to say, that is super impressive for travel blogs. It’s great to know that it’s possible:)
    Thanks!

    • Nomadicmatt says:

it is possible and the ebook will show you how it is done!

thaks for the compliments on the new layout!

  3. One more thing, I like the new layout of your blog:)

  4. Susan says:

    Congrats on completing an ebook!

  5. Erica says:

I agree with Marina, 3 k a month is impressive. I hope I’ll be earning that much from my blog(s) eventually. I’ll probably buy your ebook to see what new things I can learn.

I like your new design! Looks better to only have a sidebar to the right.

  6. Roy says:

Wow 3k a month is an amazing return. I need to get that ebook. Very nice site layout BTW.

  7. Cherie says:

Many thanks for putting this together. We’ve previously been blogging primarily for friends/family about our nomadic adventures, and have found ourselves with a little bit of an unexpected following. We had wanted information on what to do with it all to improve our site for the masses and perhaps even make a bit of money off of it, and it’s wonderful to find the resources from someone within our own community.

There are many things in the eBook that are reassuring that we’re on the right track by following our intuition – which give us the encouragement to continue. And other things that we’ll be implementing.

All our best to you !

  8. Dave and Deb says:

That is impressive, you are my traveling hero! I will be ordering in the near future for sure. Deb

  9. Dave and Deb says:

We have been traveling for years and only have just started taking our website seriously. Hopefully we will not have to go back to our day jobs after our next epic adventure. Thanks for the inspiration.

  10. Corbin says:

    Hey Matt!
So pumped you put this ebook out, I’ve been following Nerdy Nomad and You for a while, and knew that you musta been doing okay for yourself. Been digging through forum after forum for some decent information. Looks like I can finally get it right from the horses mouth. Woop! Gonna buy the crap out of that book.

Ps: Superb choice in the creepy cartoon man that looks like he may violate that bag of money. I can’t blame him.

  11. You’re fantastic. This is great! I’m so excited for you :)

  12. I hadn’t even thought about the possibility of actually making money from my site, to be honest. It’s great to know that is possible! I’ll be downloading the ebook for sure, especially for the SEO info. Thanks!

  13. Thanks Matt for the blog post to make me (and others) aware of your book. I think many of us have a dream of making enough money to support our travel aspirations but few of us ever achieve it.

I hope by getting your book I will be able to make my blog more successful. I have had one month of just over 100$ but nothing even near your success.

Many more successful years to you.

Sorry, I’m calling BS on 3k a month until I see account statements.

  15. jen laceda says:

Congrats, Matt! For being such a great guy and sharing with us your personal info. 3K a month…that’s how you keep the beer flowing….I will consider buying your ebook. Sounds like it is genuine and informative. I’ll purchase in a couple of days….having problems with MC because they keep putting a “hold” on it even though we’ve informed them that we are travelling! Another one of those frustrating travel issues!

  16. Hi Matt,
Congrats on the new e-book. And Love the new layout!

  17. Linda says:

I’m always curious, so I bought and read the e-book tonight. Following is my unpaid, unsolicited, quick review.

I found it to contain many specifics, and it’s a good primer on SEO for the travel blogger. Some things are too late for me, but I’ve highlighted sections for future use.

The money-making part is interesting; again, specifics are given for several different means of monetizing blogs and web sites. I may not use all of these, but it’s interesting to learn about them.

For a blogger seriously interested in making money and willing to invest a decent amount of time in it, this book will pay for itself quickly. It would be harder to estimate the return on the SEO tips, but I learned several new things that I’ll put to use. (I’m not an SEO expert, but not a dummy either.)

You’ll have to decide for yourself whether $27 is the right price to pay, but I don’t feel that it was a waste of my money.

    • Nomadic Matt says:

I’m glad you found the book with the money. It’s good to know that even someone with experience found the book to be of value and learned something from it.

      Thanks for your support.

  18. Talen says:

The new layout is great. Looking forward to reading your e-book.

  19. Corbin says:

    Hey Matt!

I just finished reading your ebook! First off, I’d like to say good work! That book must have took some serious time and patience. I can honestly say it definitely opened my eyes to all the opportunities my travel blogs/websites can offer. I think you hit the nail right on the head with this one, it was very easy to read and easy to understand. The ebook made SEO and Advertising seem less like a foreign language to me. Albeit I still feel like that awkward english speaking kid hanging out with a group of french speaking kids, who use awesome french slang and I just nod my head and say “oui oui”.

I think once I re-read it a couple times, I’ll be tossing out sweet words like CPM and SEO in my day to day conversations. (“hey ladies, ever hear of seo?…” Prrr) – But seriously, the information in that book is definitely worth the money. I think your book is the push I needed to get the wheels turning on making some money through travel blogs.

I’m going to take your advice and just hang tough, be patient, build some traffic and start manipulating the lego-pieces into a worthy place where people will be happy to place some links/ads.

I was also happy that you didn’t drop your writing style while writing this book. Any man who can write about serious things like advertisements, clicks per mille, Seo, and still incorporate a quote from Ricky Bobby (a la Talledega Nights) is a man worthy of respect.

Good work Matt, and thanks again!

  20. Matt,

I just downloaded the PDF. I have been on the fence as to whether or not I should monetize my blog and sites. Not any more. Great piece of work my friend. Here’s to your continued success and my future success!

  21. Fun Lilliy says:

I just recently started my new travel blog.. I have been blogging just for the fun of it with my friends and some other bloggers for 2 years now.. never made any money out of it.. but then I nver took seriously.. with my travels.. I v been posting my photos and travel journal on my personal blog when I found that more and more I was reading travel blogs.. I decided to start my own travel blog.. now I just started reading about monetizing.. for sure I will be looking into buying your eBook..when I finally sit down and start seriously blogging.. I do want to make money.. its always rewarding and for me it is motivating too..
Great blog I am already becoming addicted to it.. its also inspiring for me..

  22. Robert Reid says:

$3000 a month as ’side money’ — ! — is generally as much or more than full-time guidebook authors get.

  23. Dave and Deb says:

Bought your ebook this weekend. Great advice, already working fixing up our blog. Will keep you posted on how things progress. Deb and Dave

  24. Anil says:

I’ll be picking up a copy as soon as the shopping cart comes back online.

  25. Cody says:

    Hey Matt,

When you say 3k a month you said from your “websites”, not website. What are the other sites you run and about how much of that 3k comes from THIS site alone?

  26. Nomada23 says:

Congatulations Matt! It’s great that you are making so much money this way, in which I would like to do it myself.

Unfortunately I think it is not so easy because so many people want to do it, and it seems to me that the market (specially in recession) is quite small for all of us who want to do make a living this way. Do you think it is possible?

How does it work for you now? How often can you disconnect from the e-world? How many hours a day in a row do you have to enjoy the place where you are at, meaning not even glancing towards your laptop?

Are you still moving a lot to unknown locations or are you forced now to stay longer in “civilized’ internet accessible places?

Thanks for the answers and congrats again!

    • NomadicMatt says:

The 80/20 rules applies here just like everywhere. As I say in the book, most people don’t make money online because they don’t stick it out. So while 5 of you will go in and try to make money, 4 of them are gonna give up. I see it all the time. It’s just how it is. So there is plenty of room. And the internet is HUGE- there are plenty of people to capture.

I disconnect whenever I have something else to do or am tired of working. I work everyday but for only a few hours but if I have something going on then I just don’t work.

Most of the world has some form of internet access so I don’t really have a problem hooking in.

  27. dave says:

Is it available on the torrents? If so which torrent?

    • NomadicMatt says:

No, you have to buy it.

    • Jessica says:

Wow, Matt put all his time and energy into putting this e-book together…and you just expect to get it for free?? Come on!

Anyhow, I just purchased the ebook! I’ve been blogging here and there but it’s never been very organized. I finally decided to have a blog just on travel/photos and I can’t wait to learn about the possibilities! While I haven’t had a ton of adventures yet to share, hopefully in another couple of years. =)

  28. Corinne says:

    Hi Matt,
I’m an happy purchaser of your book, which contains lots of valuable informations.
Thank you and congratulations for tis great product :)

  29. StaictRhith says:

Sweet blog. I never know what I am going to come across next. I think you should do more posting as you have some pretty intelligent stuff to say.

    I’ll be watching you . :)

  30. Rob Barham says:

Good idea with the ebook Matt, love the bonuses, I think that makes it a very compelling offer.

  31. Ladyexpat says:

How many travel websites do you have?

  32. Hi Matt,

I just purchased your ebook and finished it in one day. And now I will reread and start implementing your suggestion. I actually already did.. I went ahead and get my own web hosting and domain name and now fiddling with word press. Thank you so much for a great book. It’s easy to read and easy to follow. Plus I love all the link to the sites. Make it easy to implement. I will keep you posted on my progress.

    -Amy

BTW, my new site is still WIP so I register for this comment with my existing one. :)

  33. Brad says:

    NM,
Seriously considering buying your book but I’m not sure if it’s right for my site. I’m trying to raise money, through donations on my website, in order to travel this fall. I’ve been working on ’senduswest.com’ for about four months and have made about $100. I’d like to know what you think of my site and if you have any advice for me. I think my biggest problem is having no SEO (no one is looking at my site).
Also, I’m pretty new to web design and hardly know what I’m doing, so the site may appear crude and under developed to you. Anyway, please check it out, hopefully it at least makes you laugh.

  34. Charles says:

I’ve very recently started a travel blog geared to backpacking in Eastern Europe, having being toying with the idea for months. I just bought this eBook yesterday and found it had some useful tips in it. Kind of frustrating really how I’ve spent countless hours looking for such information on the Internet when I could have just spent $27 and got this book before.
    Anyway, thanks Matt! :-)

  35. Ellen Barone says:

    Hi Matt,

I just downloaded your book and already I’m hooked.

My website began as little more than an online business card, has blossomed into a full-on love fest with blogging, the Internet and creating something as fun as it is useful. And, if it pays for my freedom, better yet. I’m already well on my way to doing just that. So, I’m really excited about incorporating your advice into the mix.

    See you online!

    Happy trails,

    Ellen Barone

  36. Out of interest do you make much money from Google Adsense, or is it mainly via affiliates?

Nice sites – keep up the good work

  37. Thanks for nice post. Search Engine optimization is very important if you really want to make your website or blog popular on the net. If you do not want to spend money on engaging a SEO company then you can also take some tips from various search engine optimization sites that are sunning successfully on the net to increase the page rate of your travel blog.

  38. Messi says:

While people may have different views still good things should always be appreciated. Yours is a nice blog. Liked it!!!

  39. Sam says:

Definitely some useful information, if you don’t know anything about Internet Marketing. But I was not at all impressed with the section about where to get links…nothing new there. And I was also dissapointed with the monetization part. Selling links is illegal, and is a poor way to make money for your blog. At least you admit it in your ebook.

When I bought your e-book, I expected to get some new ideas. But you basically spewed out what the big Make Money OnLine sites talk about.

    Sam

    • NomadicMatt says:

      Sam,

Selling links is not “illegal.” I’m not sure where you got that. Selling links to manipulate search rankings is not something the Big G likes. Selling links for advertising is fine.

Regarding the links building section, if you are already in IM, you probably know everything that I’m saying there. The thing is though- 99.9% of travel bloggers don’t know anything about internet marketing and even the ones who are clued in don’t know it all. But if you do this like me, then yes, you’ll know all about UAW, the Griz, and Linkvana.

As for the part about the big “mmo” people, I am offended to be lumped with them! They espouse get rich quick, which is something my ebook does not do. This is a slow and time consuming process and you won’t get rich quick overnight. The basic principles are the same but I’m more in the Griz/Keyword Academy school of things.

I’m not sure what you were looking for but if you have some more detailed and constructive feedback, I’d be happy to hear it. I’m updating the monetization section this weekend so maybe when you get your new copy, you’ll enjoy it more.

    • NomadicMatt says:

      Sam,

I went looking in my records but I couldn’t find your name on the purchase list. When did you buy the ebook?

  40. Hi Matt

Great blog and great post. My blog is about a number of different subjects (travel being one). Will the info in the ebook be transferable to a multi-subject blog or is it based around ‘pure’ travel blogs?

    Thanks

    James

    • NomadicMatt says:

      James,

SEO is pretty universal- the basic principles will apply to all your websites. The only section that won’t be applicable to your non-travel websites is the social traffic section as everything there is about finding travel sites and other blogs. But the rest of it can be used for your other niche sites.

  41. San says:

Matt, I don’t have a credit card. Can I still buy the book? I have Pay Pal ..

  42. Dexter uchenna says:

    Good day Nomadic Matt,
i deeply appreciate your teach and would like to earn while traveling but i do not know how to start, please can you teach me?
    thanks

  43. I would have bought your e-book but Google Checkout rejected my card.- saying you cannot accept money from Brazil. The card is actually a UK card; only my mailing address is in Brazil, and for an e-book I cannot imagine that is important. I buy domain names from Google (Go Daddy) using Google checkout with no problem

  44. Lavern says:

Wow! Someday, I can also earn that much on my travel blog! Can you first give me some advertisers on my blog, then I can have money to buy your ebook? Heheh… Hope you can give me tips on how I can get advertisers for my travel blog. I already have a few, but you can help me get more. Thanks…

  45. johnsmith says:

  46. Fran says:

    Hi Matt

I bought your ebook last night and read through it. I already know a fair amount of how to install blogs and publish to them, I bought it more for the SEO and monetization advice to fill in any gaps in my knowledge.

On the whole I liked what I read, I skipped past the first few pages on installing wordpress etc. There was enough information in the ebook that I didn´t already know that made it worth the $27, but I think there were some gaps and some things I would have liked to have seen included. I also noted some typing mistakes but not many.

You obviously put a lot of time in putting it together and it shows. Well done and thanks :)

  47. Cecil Lee says:

    Hi Matt,

Great move to to have your own e-book on sale! Hope more and more travel bloggers could benefit from your e-book on how to make good money over travel blogs. I would sure consider a copy for myself… :)

  49. Hi Matt

I have just speed read your Ebook this morning, I will read it in depth over the weekend, it’s a great read, there are lots of tips in it for everyone, at whatever stage of development you are at!.

My website is just 7 months old, and already under 300k on Alexa Ranking, and your book has given me several ideas about how to get down to the magical 100k, as well as how to monetise it correctly.

I think it will be very interesting to see how your Ebook sells, as I personally think far too many bloggers are PURISTS, they write incredibly good blogs, containing outstanding information, BUT they really don’t have a clue about the commercial possibilities of their blogs.

I will certainly promote the Ebook as much as I can, as I think it is written in very easy to understand fashion, and should be used as a bible by everyone who has been scared of the words SEO, that have attracted such bad press (and quite rightly so) over the last few years.

    Thanks again.

    Kind Regards

    Kevin

Hi I am having a travel blogging site designed and wondered if your ebook discusses podcasting and any monies that can be made from this medium.

Regards and congrats on your success!

    Millen Baird

    • NomadicMatt says:

It doesn’t specifically address podcasting. It applies to all types of travel sites. For podcasts, the best money is made via sponsorship.

  53. John says:

Is this ebook useful even if I don’t want to do a travel blog??? Could it be used for other adventures??

    • NomadicMatt says:

      John,

yes. All the portions could be applied to another type of website. The only portion that would not fit would be about getting social and other blog traffic as the links are specific to travel. However, the reasoning behind it would be the same, you just need to have to go find those types of websites for your topic.

  54. Bethany says:

    Hi Matt,

I saw this before but hesitated but today you got a glowing review from almostfearless.com so I bit the bullet and bought it. Can’t wait to look at it after work! Hopefully it will really help me get beersandbeans.com off the ground. I have been struggling with it for a while.

Just ran into you at travelblogexchange.com. I will be traveling again in June, and I am trying to find ways to offset my trip costs. My average budget will be about $35 a day. Do you have any idea how many hits I should try to aim for? Of course, I know that more = better, but as of right now, I don’t even know if that’s really possible. Any thoughts?

$3,000 dollars a month? that’s insane. I’m very interested reading that E-book you are selling.

  72. Carmen says:

    Gonna definitely buy this one!

  73. 3K a month I will be happy when I get 1.5k a month from my Asia Cheap Hotels and Flights website.

I tried ot download your ebook but paypal don’t like me I guess as they will not take my money anyway you going to do any real publishing of the book and maybe we can find it on Amazon?

  74. Ladyexpat says:

    Hi Matt,

I bought your books today, and spent the afternoon reading. Well done!

I’ve been living and traveling in Asia for the past 10 years. I have a lot of great info. to share. I think reading your books today has given me the incentive to take my blogging beyond a personal journal at Multiply.

You books are well laid out and informative. More importantly, you haven’t claimed that I can make a six figure income in 6 months.

Thanks again, and I’ll be back soon with a published travel blog.

  75. Hobbie Money says:

i want that ebook, maybe I’ll buy it later

  76. Tony says:

I just came across this site and liked what I read so far. will be buying the ebook today or tomorrow. Although I do own a few Travel Related websites but I am looking forward to starting a Travel Blog as well. I probably know most of the stuff that you have in the ebook but even if I get a few valuable nuggets out of it, it would be very well worth it. So I am gonna give it a shot. It never hurts to learn something new or something I may not have known although I have been an Online Marketer for some time… I will be reading your blog regularly as I find it a very interesting read. Although $3000/month is not a lot of money but for most people it is a great side income. Matter of fact great income for most as average income in America is less than $30,000/yr which is a sad fact. So why not make that money while enjoying and traveling, which most everyone loves.

    Congrats on writing the ebook.

  77. Great website I’ve found and very inspiring! Great job Matt!!

  78. Lorraine says:

Great book! I highly recommend if you’re interested in jumping into the travel blogosphere. Thanks to Nomadicmatt for making things easier for me although the SEO is making my head spin!!

  79. Frank says:

    Hi,
I’ll probably take a look at your ebook soon.
I am trying to implement travel blogs in my compare travel site by destinations, like travel blog website. I haven’t figure out how I am going to approach this task yet.
    Thank you for the tips.

  80. Mike says:

    Hey Matt,

Thanks, I’ll definitely consider getting a copy in the near future. A friend of mine noticed your New York Times article – so props for that. You have inspired me to keep working on our site! Maybe one day…

  81. jeremyhead says:

    Hi Matt
I’m interested… but I’ve read the ‘reviews’ you link to and none of them say whether they purchased your ebook or you gave it them for free. Perhaps you could clarify?
The reviews themselves are quite similar in style and tone and use phrases like ‘I’ve just finished reading Matt’s ebook’ or whatever… the sensation I get reading between the lines is that they didn’t pay for the book so their reviews are pretty meaningless – particularly as none that I read had any sort of disclosure policy which devalued them even more in my eyes.
Thanks and nice blog… (in all seriousness!)
    Jeremy

    • NomadicMatt says:

Some of them paid, some of them got a review copy. However, there’s about 100 other comments from people who bought the book and have expressed their opinion right above you!! I think the reviews are pretty fair. But I don’t think I would have had so much success with it if the content wasn’t worth anything.

  82. Al. Indra says:

I think that’s a good book. But, i can’t buy. It’s too expensive for an Indonesian like me. Sorry…

  83. roayl says:

i have been looking for ebook like this……… i like to link your blog to my blog……………. doright-editor.blogspot.com, enjoyfacebook-editor.blogspot.com

$3000 a month is an insane amount of money for those of us not living in the US and not earning American incomes. I would love to earn $30,000 a year!!!

    • Skip says:

excuse me….i live in the USA and $3,000 IS a lot of money for A LOT OF AMERICANS. Our economy is in the tank….tons of people are out of work, bankrupt, and homeless. Strange how the media is not reporting this.

  85. Kevin says:

Pretty cool information! I need to get this done for my mexico travel site!

  86. Traveler says:

Google seems to give preference to the blog over the main site.

  87. r0dman says:

Very interesting. I am looking at doing this in the near future. Slowly building my knowledge!

  88. I bought the May 2009 version of the ebook. How do I go about getting an updated version?

Really enjoyed it on first read — going back through now a second time.

    Regards,

    Wes

    Hello~

I’m eyeing this, but I have an inquiry … I’m currently trying to decide if I should start my site off with a name.wordpress.com address and build clientele, or if I should just plunge into buying domain name. Is this covered in your book? I eventually want to use my blog to generate revenue, but you can’t put put ads on a name.wordpress.com account. I’m stuck, basically.

    I like your site =)

  90. Heya, I’m looking forward to finally be reading it – hubby just bought your ebook to me plus Christines twitter for travelers, so now I have something interesting to read! I’ll come back and tell what I did think about it – though it may take me some days :-)

  91. Sarah says:

    Hi Matt,
I bought your book back in December and as someone starting with zero knowledge about anything to do with blogging/websites/wordpress etc. it has been invaluable.

I haven’t had a chance to put the monetizing into practice yet but I’m just working on actually managing to post consistently!

One question though, and apologies if this has already been answered, where do you get the updates from if you have already purchased the book?

Actually, a second question, how do you motivate yourself to continue to post on your blog and do you ever find yourself running out of things to talk about while you’re note travelling?

    Thanks again!

    Sarah

  92. Nick says:

Matt – Just wanted to say thanks for this e-book. I bought it what seems like 5 zillion years ago, and only recently got round to using it. Upshot is, I have a shiny new blog. Not yet monetised coz it’s still an infant, and I doubt it’s evergreen enough to ever drive that much traffic. The point, though, is that although your book was about monetising a blog, it still helped me set one up in the first place. And if I do ever want to try to make money with it, I have the resources I need. Thanks!

  93. Skagway says:

Wow, good blog for idea of Making Money. Thanks

  94. Phil says:

    Matt,
I’m interested in your ebook but cannot buy into googles terms of service. Just to buy you book I have to agree to google checking my credit and running background checks as they deem necessary. You should really look into some other methods of delivery. Love the site and would like to plunk down greenbacks for you book but, google’s behind the scenes totalitarian movement is too much.

  95. Mat says:

I’ve started a travel blog but its purely just to help me organise and track my upcoming trip. I thought it would be a good idea to record the info I was gathering so that it would benefit others. Would love to be able to make money out of something like this.

How much constant travelling is really required for a travel blog? (Yes I know that is a ridiculous question! :) )

  96. Cecil Lee says:

    Hi Matt,

I’ve bought one of your copies of your ebook! Fantastic! While still reading and learning some of your great tips to monetize my travel blog, I would like to say Thanks. You have made my travel blogging life a lot easier!
    Cheers!
p/s Please comment on my blog if time allows… :)

  97. David says:

Another good option is adding micro payments onto your blog, you can jus simple add an donation button than visitors can donate by phone, see http://www.paygol.com/micropayment/wordpress

  98. Tyler says:

Really wonderful! Thanks for the great suggestion. Will surely give it a second thought!
