Major Site News!!!!

I apologize for the lack of travel related posts this week but there’s a lot going on with the site itself and I wanted to bring that to your attention. But rest assured, I have about 10 articles written and just waiting to be put off. But Nomadic Matt has gone through some major changes this week and I want to talk about that.

New Site Design

I have a whole new theme and layout going on. For those who read in an RSS feed, come over and take a look. The new design is sleeker and uses space a lot better than the last design. The homepage looks a lot cooler and I totally dig the blog page.

I’ve added some new widgets and icons to the blog page for better usability too. There’s a few kinks to work out but for the most part, the blog is all set up.

Overall, I am really happy with this new look and love how it uses space much better. It will be here for awhile.  My favorite part? Nested comments so everyone can reply back to each other individually. I’m so happy about it that my replies are through the roof. Expect better two way communication! :)

New Photo Page
The old photo page had lots of beautiful pictures but took a long time to load. I’ve replaced it with my whole gallery. Now if you head on over to see my travel photos, you’ll find that you have access to all 5,800 pictures that I’ve taken. It will make viewing all my photos much easier.  I’ve found a designer to create an interactive flash map that will be totally great and be a really nice way to look at all my photos. That’s about a month away though.

Newsletter
I am going to start a newsletter to keep people updated about changing on the site, site news, travel news, and what’s new with me. The difference between the newsletter and the blog is that there will be more community information in there and more general travel news I think you should know.

Travel Ebook
As most of you know, I created an ebook about making money with your travel blog. It’s my first real big project with this site and over the next week, I’ll be promoting it. If you are a travel blogger interested in SEO and making some money off your site, come check it out. There have been lots of positive reviews already and everyone felt it was $27 dollars well spent.

If you are interested in being an affiliate, email me. You get 50% of all sales!

Guest Bloggers
Lastly, I’m moving to have one guest blogger a week. I have a few lined up but if you are interested, e-mail me and we can set you up. All I can over is press and links. No cash at this time.

Over the last few months, I’ve been putting a lot of work into some other projects and as such, I feel the site has suffered and I want to take it to the top. You’ll see a much more active Nomadic Matt moving forward as I’ve sort of finished a few projects, put aside a few other ones, and just really miss this blog. It’s my baby and it deserves more love.
