Carnival of Blogs #3

June 20, 2008

carnivalToday, I head off to New York City for the weekend. I haven’t been there since I left on my adventure in 2006. It will be good to get back and see friends. I’ll have plenty of pictures when I return and tomorrow’s Saturday city series will continue with a profile on New York City. For now, it is time to highlight some more travel blogs I like reading.

Lives of Wander- Follow this American couple as they get ready to leave for a round the world trip.

My Several Worlds- An Canadian teacher and writer in Taiwan.

Nerdy Nomad- The blog of a perpetual nomad who roams the world building websites and living off the income. Cool huh?

Go Backpacking- This (very popular) travel blog follows the adventures of a currently traveling the world. He is in India right now. His posts and photos are quite amazing.

Cool Travel Guide- Lara Dunston, professional traveler writer, runs this site and you can follow the ins and outs of the profession here. There’s excellent stories and observations. Lara will also be doing an interview with me in the next coming weeks.

Frugal Travel Guy- Learn all the ways to save money on the road. A great blog about how to get the best out of all those deals with see, the only downside is this blog doesn’t allow comments. But it is great advice.

Also you need to turn off moderation on your comments! I need instant gratification!

Matt: Thanks for the mention on your blog. We will have to agree to disagree about enablint comments on my blog. I want to obtain a more personal relationship with my readers and their travel needs than a “comments” section allows. My readers are encouraged to always ask questions.

Everybody has got their own style. Congrats on a nice blog.

Got something to say?
