Carnival of Blogs #23

It’s been ages since I have done one of these. This will be the last one. As of next week, I will have a completely redesigned website and there will be a news section that will tell people about what is happening in the travel space. I’m excited for the new site- I will be having a custom header, a less ad intense website, a new layout, new colors- the whole works. It’s going to be good. But until that happens, here is some stuff worth knowing and worth reading:

The creator of my favorite backpacker movie, A Map for Saturday, has a new movie out about life in Africa. It just came out and is worth the watch. You can find out more at One Day in Africa.

Anil from Foxnomad has an ebook out about overcoming you travel fears. I haven’t read it but it is based off the blog posts he did for his own site and those were good. Find out more about the ebook here.

I’ve stumbled across a lot of new bloggers lately. I particularly like the travels of Aaron and Georgie from Happytimeblog, Velvet Escape, which is not new but I’ve never highlighted it before, Two Backpackers, who have changed their site to be focused on video and photos and it blows me away, Technomadia, Nomad Backpackers, and Go See Run Eat Drink.

Eyeflare has good tips on capturing silhouettes while the vacation gals help you get over your fear of flying.

Lastly, as a reminder, don’t forget about October’s travel contest. I am giving a a FREE iPod Touch to the ebook affiliate that sells me the most ebooks and 3 nights at a hostel for one lucky RSS subscriber.

As for me, I’m currently in Stockholm, Sweden where I grossly underestimated the temperature. I’m seeing my breath and I don’t like it. I’ll be moving down to Germany in a week and then my last stop, Vienna. From there, it’s one month in Thailand then New Zealand. I’m looking forward to moving on to cheaper pastures.

Hi there… I think you were trying to give us a shout out in your new bloggers round up- if so, thank you!

However, you linked to ‘TechnomEdia’ instead of ‘TechnomAdia’ (I’m assuming you meant us, as we’re travel bloggers.. and Technomedia is not.)

    Many thanks!
